Ich stimme mit der Fragestellerin insoweit überein, dass die Europäische Union versuchen sollte, sich den zentralen Herausforderungen zu stellen, aber selbstverständlich müssen wir dabei Schritt für Schritt vorgehen, wir können nicht auf alle Herausforderungen gleichzeitig reagieren.

Ich muß dem Herrn Abgeordneten antworten, daß ich nicht mehr sagen kann als im ersten Teil meiner Antwort auf die mündliche Anfrage sowie in meiner Antwort auf die Zusatzfrage der Fragestellerin, nämlich: es liegt ein Kommissionsvorschlag vor, dieser Vorschlag wird vom Rat geprüft, und die Beschäftigungslage ist einer der Faktoren, die dabei berücksichtigt werden.

I have to say to the honourable Member that I cannot go further than I have already gone in my initial answer and in the supplementary answer I gave to the first questioner. The position is that there is a Commission proposal, the Council is looking at it and one of the factors which will be taken into account is the employment factor.
