Kurze Abschnitte der Ansaug- oder Druckleitung dürfen durch den Maschinenraum geführt sein, sofern sie durch einen ausreichend bemessenen Rohrkanal aus Stahl oder mit einer Isolierung der Klasse "A-60" versehen sind.

Short lengths of suction or discharge piping may penetrate the machinery space, provided they are enclosed in a substantial steel casing or are insulated to A-60 standards.

Ausnahmsweise kann zugelassen werden, dass kurze Abschnitte der Ansaug- und Druckleitung der Notfeuerlöschpumpe durch den Maschinenraum führen, wenn es undurchführbar ist, sie außerhalb zu verlegen, sofern die Widerstandsfähigkeit der Feuerlöschleitung durch eine stählerne Ummantelung aufrechterhalten wird.

Exceptionally, short lengths of the emergency fire pump suction and discharge piping may penetrate the machinery space if it is impracticable to route it externally provided that the integrity of the fire main is maintained by the enclosure of the piping in a substantial steel casing.

Ausnahmsweise kann zugelassen werden, daß kurze Abschnitte der Ansaug- und Druckleitung der Notfeuerlöschpumpe durch den Maschinenraum führen, wenn es undurchführbar ist, sie außerhalb zu verlegen, sofern die Widerstandsfähigkeit der Feuerlöschleitung durch eine stählerne Ummantelung aufrechterhalten wird.
