The nature in the Mesozoic

Im Tarntaler Mesozoikum finden sich unter anderem Dolomite und Kalke, die etwa die Kalkwand oder die Torwand im Bereich der Wattentaler Lizum aufbauen.

Amongst the rocks of Tarntal Mesozoic may be found dolomite and limestones that are the basis of rock faces ("Kalkwand" and "Torwand") in the area of the Wattentaler Lizum.

Wahrscheinlich hat sich keine der paläozoischen Gruppen der »Lithistida«, mit Ausnahme vielleicht der Sphaerocladina, in das Mesozoikum hinein fortgesetzt, sondern sie sind spätestens mit dem Ende des Perms ausgestorben.

On the other hand, the Tetracladina derived independently from the Palaeozoic »Lithistida« during the Late Permian or Early Triassic. Most probably no Palaeozoic »lithistid« group, except maybe the Sphaerocladina, continued into the Mesozoic, but they all became extinct at latest by the end of the Permian.
