Deshalb meine Frage an den Kommissar, wie die Union die eingegangenen Abkommen überwachen und dafür sorgen will, daß die IFOR-Truppe nicht an Glaubwürdigkeit verliert. Denn ich könnte mir vorstellen, daß man sagt, die IFOR-Truppe würde etwas länger bleiben als ursprünglich geplant; wohingegen ich die Verkoppelung mit einer Wiederaufrüstung für eine contradictio in terminis halte.

Hence my question to the Commissioner as to how the Union will seek to monitor the agreements which have been reached and to ensure that IFOR 's credibility is not damaged, because in my view it is practicable to say that IFOR should stay rather longer than originally envisaged but it is a contradiction in terms to link that to rearmament.
