Compelled to limit myself in the selection of quotations, I shall refer here only to the summary theses of Lenin on the stages of the revolution, which were written at the end of 1905 but only published for the first time in 1926 in the fifth volume of Lenin Miscellanies. (p.451 [13] ) I recall that all the Oppositionists, Radek included, regarded the publication of these theses as the handsomest of gifts to the Opposition, for Lenin turned out in these theses to be guilty of ‘Trotskyism’ in accordance with all the articles of the Stalinist code.

Gezwungen, mir bei der Auswahl der Zitate Beschränkungen aufzuerlegen, will ich hier nur auf die übersichtlichen Thesen Lenins über die Etappen der Revolution verweisen, die Ende des Jahres 1905 geschrieben und erst im Jahre 1926 im V. Band der ausgewählten Werke Lenins zum erstenmal veröffentlicht wurden (S.450). Es sei daran erinnert, daß alle Oppositionellen, darunter auch Radek, die Veröffentlichung dieser Thesen als das schönste Geschenk an die Opposition betrachtet haben, denn Lenin erweist sich darin als des Trotzkismus schuldig.
