I argue here and here that nature is by no means tame enough to do us the favor of restricting itself to states which correspond to decidable propositions. Instead it produces – as a consequence of the generation of structures of increasing complexity – states which correspond to undecidable propositions in respect of any possible set of initial conditions and physical laws. (To keep the train of thought assessable, I restricted it to mental states. However it can be transferred to other areas, e.g. to the area of evolution.)

Ich argumentiere hier und hier dafür, dass die Natur keinesfalls zahm genug ist, um sich nur innerhalb der Grenzen eines von uns vorgegebenen Systems aufzuhalten, sondern dass sie – infolge ihrer Entfaltung zu immer höherer Komplexität – Zustände erzeugt, die bezüglich jedes möglichen Systems aus Axiomen und Regeln Gödel-Aussagen entsprechen, d.h. dass sie bezüglich des Systems unentscheidbar sind und mit den Mitteln des Systems nicht abgeleitet werden können. (Um die Argumentation überschaubar zu halten, habe ich sie nur für psychische Phänomene durchgeführt; sie lässt sich aber auf andere Bereiche wie etwa die Evolution übertragen.)
