hearkened

And unto Hamor and unto Shechem his son hearkened all that went out of the gate of his city; and every male was circumcised, all that went out of the gate of his city.

Und sie gehorchten dem Hemor und Sichem, seinem Sohn, alle, die zu seiner Stadt Tor aus und ein gingen, und beschnitten alles, was männlich war, das zu dieser Stadt aus und ein ging.

And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.

Und sie trieb solche Worte gegen Joseph täglich. Aber er gehorchte ihr nicht, daß er nahe bei ihr schliefe noch um sie wäre.

Ich sehe und höre, daß sie nichts Rechtes reden. Keiner ist, dem seine Bosheit Leid wäre und der spräche: Was mache ich doch! Sie laufen alle ihren Lauf wie ein grimmiger Hengst im Streit.
