This page will show you how to replace the ACE400 CDI+immobilizer of an aging Speedfight or Trekker with a basic CDI unit. Please note that this will only work for (very) old Peugeot scooters because newer models use the ACI100 immobilizer system, which is a lot more difficult to disable. This is also why I can justify to make this information publicly available - I realize that it can be misused - however the scooters that it applies to are held together by duct-tape and rust-paint, hardly something that a thief will spend time on rigging. So I gather that this page will only help the do-it-yourselfers as me who are just too stubborn to give up when electronics get in the way of a well-working engine.
