Implantation (nidation): attachment of the blastocyst to the epithelial lining of the uterus, including its penetration through the uterine epithelium, and its embedding in the endometrium.

Implantation (Einnistung): Anhaftung der Blastozyste an der Epithelauskleidung der Gebärmutter; dazu gehört auch die Wanderung der Blastozyste durch das Gebärmutterepithel und deren Einbettung in der Gebärmutterschleimhaut.
