My primary backgrounds are animal physiology and computational neuroscience; my main interest is the brain mechanisms that underlie cognition. I am extremely happy to have a bunch of highly talented coworkers and students joining the BMBF-funded BioFuture Research Group which I am currently leading at the Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology.

Meine primäre Hintergründe sind Tierphysiologie und Computational Neuroscience; mein Hauptinteresse ist das Gehirn Mechanismen, die Erkenntnis zu Grunde liegen. The study sample comprised 172 obligate anaerobes isolated from the saliva of 43 adult volunteers. The minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) were determined by the agar dilution technique in Brucella agar medium supplemented with vitamin K, haemin and 5% (volume/volume) laked sheep blood, and incubated under anaerobic conditions. The Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute methodology was followed and its criteria were used for the qualitative interpretation of the results. The antibiotics evaluated were: amoxicillin (AMX), amoxicillin-clavulanic acid (AMX-CLA), clindamycin (CM), metronidazole (MTZ), azithromycin (AZM), TLM and MXF.

Die Studie umfasste 172 Proben obligate Anaerobier aus dem Speichel von 43 erwachsenen Probanden isoliert. Die minimalen Hemmkonzentrationen (MHK) wurden von der Agar-Verdünnungs-Technik in Brucella-Agar-Medium mit Vitamin K, Hämin und 5% (Volumen / Volumen) verlackte Schafblut ergänzt bestimmt und unter anaeroben Bedingungen inkubiert. Das Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute Methodik folgte und seine Kriterien wurden für die qualitative Interpretation der Ergebnisse verwendet. Die Antibiotika wurden ausgewertet: Amoxicillin (AMX), Amoxicillin-Clavulansäure (AMX-CLA), Clindamycin (CM), Metronidazol (MTZ), Azithromycin (AZM), TLM und MXF.
